Most car hammocks are a sheet of fabric hung between two headrests. Put a dog on one and the middle drops away. A funnel forms, and your dog spends the drive holding itself against the slope instead of lying in it.

This one has a plate underneath

Eight layers, built around a load-bearing panel set in PE foam. It carries 400 lb without giving. The surface stays where you put it, so the dog lies down and stays lying down.

The plate lifts out. The cover washes flat.
